1st Tobago Powerboat Regatta- April 2008

The Local organizing committee for the Tobago Powerboat Regatta requested the assistance and advice of NEMA Tobago in handling matters relating to Public Safety and Crowd Management with the expectations of a large crowd turnout for the 1st ever Tobago Powerboat Regatta held on the 6th of April, 2008 at the Scarborough Esplanade at Milford road, Tobago.

It is important to note that whenever there is a large crowd of people assembling, there exist the risks for many things to go wrong and threaten the safety of persons in attendance.

Support was provided by the Agency with the use of its technology in providing safety coverage of the races and our trained Technicians versed in water rescue provided support relating to water safety management.

The event was a successful one and the agency is proud to have supported the exercise.
