JAZZ 2008 Operations- April 25 to 27th 2008
In
keeping with the Safety and Security matters relating to the Tobago Plymouth
Jazz Festival 2008 held during the days April 25th to 27th 2008, the National Emergency Management Agency Tobago in
collaboration with the stakeholders of the NEMA Tobago Taskforce
Coordinating committee put together a plan which supported the security
and safety aspects for Jazz 2008, where NEMA Tobago provided the three (3)
day event with the following:
One (1) Advanced Medical Post- located at the Plymouth Anglican Primary School just outside of the venue and this post was equipped to provide medical treatment and acted as the Staging Area.
In addition, NEMA Tobago provided one (1) Mobile Command Unit- which operated as the Venue Operations Center (VOC) for the Plymouth Jazz Festival and also served to coordinate all resources such as: Communications, Logistics, Security and Safety matters relating to the event.
Man power and Technical Support.
In addition to the above, on April 26th 2008 the Minister of Local Government the Honorable Hazel Manning and Team visited the Plymouth Jazz Festival and took the time to visit first hand, the NEMA Tobago operations at the Plymouth Jazz Festival 2008. The Honorable Minister congratulated the effort of the NEMA Tobago team.
