| NEMA Tobago Community Early Warning System Installation at Guy Street, Canaan. |

NEMA Tobago began Installation work on its Multi Hazard Community Early Warning System on the 21st of January 2008, on the compound of the Canaan Gospel Hall Church; opposite Milford Court, Canaan, Tobago.

The community of Canaan and environs have been informed and briefed about the installation and testing of this Radio Messaging and Siren Tone Community Early Warning System, which would ensure that communities on the western end of Tobago are warned remotely from the Emergency Operation Center of NEMA Tobago, at Bacolet, Scarborough, giving residents enough time to be able to take the necessary actions in the event of a TSUNAMI WARNING, HURRICANE / STORM WARNING, and  SEVERE WEATHER thereby avoiding the chance of becoming victims of these hazards.

The following photos highlight the efforts of NEMA Tobago combined Technicians ensuring that the installation and testing of this system was undertaken as detailed by the suppliers of the system, The American Signal Corporation (Compulert).
