TROPICAL STORM FELIX ADVISORY NO.3

ISSUED AT 11:00am.

SATURDAY 1st SEPTEMBER 2007.        

Tropical Storm Warning is Discontined for Grenada and its Dependencies 

At 11.00am today Tropical Storm Felix was centered near Latitude 12.3N and Longitude 63.6W, or 200km West of Grenada.  Felix is moving toward the west, away from the Eastern Caribbean, near 30km/hr with maximum sustained winds near 100km/hr with higher gusts.  Additional strengthening is forecast and Felix could become a hurricane tomorrow, Sunday.

Residents in Trinidad, Tobago, Grenada and its Dependencies should continue to exercise caution as feeder bands into Felix are forecast to affect both islands today.

Seas with waves excess of 3 meters will continue to affect the waters of these islands.

Repeating the 11:00am position: 12:34N Latitude and 63.6W Longitude or 200km West of Grenada moving West at 30km/hr with maximum sustained winds near 100km/hr with higher gusts.  Additional strengthening is forecast.

This is the last advisory on Tropical Storm Felix but the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Services is continuing to closely monitor this weather system.
